My Final Diploma Submission

This latest story is my final submission for the Diploma of Family History.  I was quite disappointed with the result so decided to rewrite the story based on the feedback and I think it is now much better.  This is the first time I have had comprehensive feedback which really enabled me to edit my story to make it better.  The main criticism was that I mixed fiction and non fiction.  Tricky when writing a true story with some imaginative content included.    To overcome disappointment and realise that the feedback was accurate was an important lesson for me I think.

This story is fiction but based on real events.  My 3x great uncle whom I have written about earlier in this post was one of the commissioners charged with the task of building the Exhibition Building and running the Melbourne International Exhibition in 1880.
